An episodic detective game, Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller is a supernatural thriller developed with help from renowned designer Jane Jensen, and graphic novel style visuals created by comic book artist Roman Molenaar.

Three years ago, FBI agent Erica Reed lost her brother to a serial killer who was never caught. During this desperate investigation, she developed the strange and unpredictable power of post-cognition: by touching an object, she can see its past and the events that happened on, to, or around it. Though undeniably useful in her line of work, this skill makes her uneasy and has caused her problems professionally and personally. Now a new serial killer is on the move – one who leaves behind clues perfectly suited to Agent Reed’s unique abilities. Has someone learned her secret? What do they want from her? More importantly: by working this case, will Erica finally uncover enough evidence to bring her brother’s killer to justice?

Tekken 6 features bigger stages with more interactivity than its predecessors, such as walls or floors that can be broken to reveal the new fighting areas. The characters costumization feature has been enhanced and certain items have implications in some aspects of gameplay.
A new range system has added, giving more characters damage per hit when their vitality is below to a certain point. Once activated, a reddish energy aura appears around the character, and their health bars starts to flicker in red. The rage aura can be costumized with different colors and effect appear like fire, electricity, ice among others.
Another gameplay feature is added is the bound system. Every characters has several moves that, when used on an opponent that is currently in mid air in a juggle combo, will cause the opponent to smashed hard into the ground, bouncing them off the floor in a stunned state and leaving them vulnerable to another combo or additional attacks. As of the bloodlone rebellion update, succesfully parrying a low attack will also put a character into a bound state
